The reason appears to be compliance with US export controls. ### Developer and operations updates - Kiro Pro Max — a new pro tier with higher usage limits, access to frontier models, and additional agentic capabilities - Amazon OpenSearch Service MCP Apps — run observability workflows in agentic IDEs like Claude Desktop and VS Code. It returns a text summary for the agent to reason over, plus an interactive visualization rendered right in the same conversation thread - AWS Workload Credentials Provider — a lightweight client that automates ACM certificate deployment and Secrets Manager secret caching across AWS and non-AWS workloads. It supports Windows, Linux, Apache, and NGINX - AWS CLI v1 enters maintenance mode — dependencies are vendored into the codebase, and upgrading CLI v1 will no longer update standalone botocore or s3transfer.
