# Amazon Corretto 8u504 is out, with tzdata 2026d!

According to AWS What's New, on September 30, 2026 Amazon announced a patch update for Amazon Corretto 8 (LTS): Corretto 8u504. Amazon Corretto is a no-cost, multi-platform, production-ready distribution of OpenJDK.

LTS versions like Corretto 8 run in many long-lived environments, so keeping up with regular patches matters for operations.

## What changes

This patch includes the tzdata 2026d updates. If your apps deal with dates and times, it is worth checking.
