Hi everyone, it's Shiichan! DocumentDB's Region list just grew again.

## What was announced?

AWS What's New says Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) is now available in the Asia Pacific (Taipei) and Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Regions.

## What changes

If you run services near Taipei or New Zealand, you can now create DocumentDB clusters in those Regions.

DocumentDB is a fully managed, native JSON database that makes it simple and cost-effective to operate critical document workloads without managing infrastructure.

## Dive Deep

Highlights of DocumentDB from the announcement:

- Storage scales automatically up to 128 TiB without any impact to your application
- Native integration with Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Lambda, AWS Backup and more
- Supports millions of requests per second and scales out to 15 low-latency read replicas in minutes with no application downtime

You can create a cluster from the AWS Management Console, AWS CLI or AWS SDKs. See the product and pricing pages for details.

## Wrap-up
