# Amazon Quick's Sharing Now Requires Approval First!

Hi everyone, it's me! Here's a governance update worth knowing if your team uses Amazon Quick.

## What was announced?

AWS's What's New announced a new **approval policies** feature for Amazon Quick. Administrators can now govern how assets get shared across their organization.

## The story so far

Until now, there was no review step built in when sharing assets in Quick. Sensitive assets could end up shared more widely than intended, and it was hard to keep a clear record of who approved what.

## What changes

Administrators can create approval policies scoped to these asset types:

- Knowledge bases
- Spaces
- Custom chat agents

When a user requests to share a covered asset, the request routes to the assigned approver group. Approvers can review the asset itself before approving or denying. For custom chat agents, approvers can review and act on the entire dependency package in a single request.

Every workflow event is logged in AWS CloudTrail, so tracking who approved what, and when, is fully covered for auditing.
