# See Your Cost Efficiency at a Glance! A New Widget Lands in BCM Dashboards!

Hello, this is Shii-chan! Today's update is a quiet one, but it's the kind of quiet update that actually makes your day-to-day easier: AWS added a new widget that lets you check your cost efficiency at a glance!

## What was announced?

This comes from AWS What's New. AWS Billing and Cost Management (BCM) added a new "Cost Efficiency" widget to BCM Dashboards. You can now view cost efficiency trends right alongside Cost Explorer, Budgets, and your Savings Plans / Reserved Instance coverage and utilization reports.

## The story so far

Cost information itself was already available, Cost Explorer, Budgets, Savings Plans, and Reserved Instance reports each had their own screen. But there wasn't a single place to see spending, commitments, and optimization performance together. Tracking efficiency trends meant hopping between multiple tools.

## What changes

Just by adding the Cost Efficiency widget to a BCM Dashboard, you get spending, commitments, and optimization performance in one unified view. And there's a lot packed into it!

- Track your efficiency score over time by account, region, or overall
- Adjust the granularity to whatever level matters to your team
- Jump straight to the Cost Optimization Hub console to act on savings recommendations
- Works with dashboard exports, scheduled email reports, and CSV/PDF downloads
