# Light mode comes to SageMaker Unified Studio for IDC-based domains!

You can now pick how SageMaker Unified Studio looks. It's a small update, but a nice one for daily users!

## What was announced?

According to AWS What's New, Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio now supports light mode for Identity Center (IDC) based domains.

## The story so far

The release framing is that IDC-based domains previously did not offer the light option, while IAM-based domains let you set a visual preference. With this launch, both domain types can.

## What changes

You can set your preferred visual mode in both IAM-based and IDC-based domains. It helps readability in bright environments and reduces eye strain.
