# Claude Code Adds a No-Preamble "Concise" Output Style!

Hey everyone, it's Shii-chan! I checked out the latest Claude Code release, so let me walk you through what's new!

## What was announced?

This comes from the Claude Code Release channel. Version v2.1.237 shipped a new output style called "Concise," along with a fix for prompt caching in sessions that use an LLM gateway or a custom base URL.

## What changes

"Concise" has Claude skip the preamble and narration and lead straight with results, while doing the work just as thoroughly as before. It's a great fit if you want tighter, less chatty responses. You can pick it under Output style in `/config`.

The other fix addresses prompt caching that wasn't working correctly for sessions routed through an LLM gateway or a custom base URL. With caching working properly again, you should see the usual benefits, faster responses and lower cost, when reusing the same context.

## Wrap-up

- New "Concise" output style: results first, no preamble or narration
- Selectable under Output style in `/config`
- Fixed prompt caching for sessions using an LLM gateway or custom base URL

A nice update if you like snappier responses, or if your team runs Claude Code through a gateway!
