# Cloudflare Radar's long-range charts just got up to 7x more detailed!

Hey there, it's me, Shii-chan! Today I've got a little treat for anyone who loves a good chart.

## What was announced?

Over on Cloudflare's Changelog, they announced that [Cloudflare Radar](https://developers.cloudflare.com/radar/)'s traffic charts now show finer detail when you look at longer time ranges. This applies to the HTTP and NetFlows traffic charts.

## The story so far

Until now, picking a longer time range meant each data point covered a wider span, so the charts looked pretty coarse. A few weeks to a few months rolled up into weekly buckets, and six months or more rolled up into monthly buckets, which made small peaks and dips hard to spot.

## What changes

Now the same time range packs in a lot more data points, so you can see the detail. Views of 1-3 months move from weekly to daily aggregation, which is 7x more points. Views of 6 months or more move from monthly to weekly, for 4x more points.

## Dive Deep

As a concrete example, a 12-week view that used to be weekly now shows daily data. For a year of HTTP traffic, you now get 52 weekly points instead of 12 monthly ones.
