Claude Code v2.1.209: The background /model dialog block is fixed!

What was announced?

According to the Claude Code Release notes, v2.1.209 just shipped. It's a single, targeted bug fix: dialogs like /model were getting blocked during background sessions of claude agents, and that's now fixed.

The story so far

A guard condition added in a recent release was too broad, and it ended up blocking /model and other dialogs from opening during background sessions of the claude agents command. If you wanted to switch models while a background session was running, that was probably a little frustrating.

What changes

This release reverts that overly broad guard. /model and other dialogs now open normally again in claude agents background sessions, just like before. Updating is all it takes to get this fix.
