Audit Logs v2 gets account analytics
Hi everyone, it's Shii-chan! Cloudflare has a nice update for people who read audit logs.
Cloudflare ChangelogWhat was announced?
The Cloudflare Changelog announced that Audit Logs v2 now includes analytics for account-level audit logs in the dashboard.
What changes
Instead of only scanning a table, you can see the big picture first (who did what, in which product, and how often it failed) and then dig in.
Dive Deep
Here is how the screen is organized.
- Actions over time chart: separates successful and failed actions for the selected time range
- Summary cards: Total actions, Unique actors, Products impacted, and Failure rate
Select a card to investigate action types, authentication methods, top actors, top products, or failed actions. You can apply or exclude values as filters, which updates both the analytics and the audit log table.
One limitation: account analytics are not available for organization-level audit logs.
Wrap-up
- Account-level audit logs now have an analytics view
- A success/failure chart and four summary cards give you the overview
- Apply or exclude values to filter the chart and table together
- Not available for organization-level logs
This one is for security and operations folks who watch account changes!
