AgentCore CLI Hits 1.0: Faster Startup and a Consistent Command Structure
Hi everyone, it's Shii-chan!
AWS What's NewThe AgentCore CLI, your companion for building agents, has hit 1.0!
What was announced?
AWS announced the general availability of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore CLI version 1.0 (@aws/agentcore 1.0.0). The CLI helps developers create, develop, deploy, and operate AI agents and supporting resources from the terminal.
Version 1.0 is rebuilt with faster startup, a consistent command structure, and support for more AgentCore resources.
What changes
With 1.0 you can use the project workflow, or work directly with these resources without first adding them to a project:
- harnesses
- runtimes
- memory
- identity
- gateways
- payments
Dive Deep
Usability changes:
- Invoke existing resources by ID or ARN
- Open an interactive shell
- Export a harness
- Use searchable menus, resource pickers, and guided workflows
- Consistent global flags for region selection, JSON output, debugging, and version information across commands
Existing projects can be migrated to version 1 with this command:
agentcore migrate
Install it from npm, or explore the source on GitHub. For more, see the AgentCore product page, the CLI reference, and the Get started guide.
