SageMaker MLflow Apps Get MLflow 3.16 With a Redesigned Trace Explorer
Hi, it's Shii-chan!
AWS What's NewHere's an update that should make debugging generative AI apps a little easier.
What was announced?
AWS What's New announced that Amazon SageMaker AI MLflow Apps now support MLflow 3.16!
It brings a redesigned tracing experience and faster experiment tracking for generative AI and machine learning workflows.
What changes
This helps people who trace agent behavior and people who run experiments with large metric histories.
- The redesigned trace explorer is now the default
- Metric charts load faster for experiments with large metric histories
Dive Deep
Here's what you can do in the trace explorer:
- Adjust row height
- Reorder columns
- Add custom columns from any trace tag or metadata field
How the version rollout works:
- New MLflow Apps are created on MLflow 3.16 by default
- Existing MLflow Apps will be upgraded during an upcoming maintenance window, with no action required
It's available in all AWS Regions where MLflow Apps are available. The announcement doesn't give a date for the maintenance window or list the Regions. See the SageMaker AI MLflow developer guide for more.
Wrap-up
- SageMaker AI MLflow Apps support MLflow 3.16
- Redesigned trace explorer is the default (row height, column order, custom columns)
- Faster charts for large metric histories
- Existing apps upgrade automatically
This one is for anyone who spends their days reading traces from generative AI agents!
