What was announced?

This is from AWS What's New. Amazon Bedrock Managed Knowledge Base, the fully managed RAG service that handles data ingestion and storage without you managing vector databases or pipelines, now supports automatic sync scheduling for its data source connectors.

The story so far

Before this, keeping a knowledge base current meant manually triggering a sync every time the source data changed, or building your own custom scheduling solution. Kind of a hassle, honestly.

What changes

Now you can set daily, weekly, or monthly sync schedules for all native data source connectors, matching the sync frequency to how often your source content actually changes. That avoids both wasted syncs and stale data.
