RDS for Oracle Welcomes Oracle APEX 26.1!

What was announced?

Over on AWS What's New, AWS announced that Amazon RDS for Oracle now supports Oracle Application Express (APEX) version 26.1.

Amazon RDS for Oracle is a managed service that makes it simple to set up, operate, and scale Oracle Database in the cloud. The APEX version available on it is now the latest, 26.1. Oracle APEX is a low-code development platform for building enterprise applications with modern user interfaces.

The story so far

RDS for Oracle has supported Oracle APEX for a while, but version 26.1 wasn't part of the supported lineup until now. This update adds the latest 26.1 to the list of versions you can choose.

What changes

If you're a database admin or developer running RDS for Oracle, you can now build with the latest version of Oracle APEX while keeping all the convenience of a managed service. You don't need to set up or swap in the new APEX version yourself; you can just move to it.
