What was announced?

AWS What's New says the next generation of AWS Resilience Hub now integrates with AWS DevOps Agent. You can review failure mode assessment findings, implement mitigations, and review resilience test results.

Resilience Hub is a central place in the AWS Management Console that helps platform engineering and SRE teams assess and strengthen workload resilience. It offers automated dependency discovery, generative AI-powered failure mode analysis, modular resilience policies, resilience testing, and organization-wide posture reporting.

What changes

You can now dig deeper into findings and test results together with the agent.

Dive Deep

The integration offers two things:

  • Resilience test investigations: when you run a test, Resilience Hub launches a DevOps Agent investigation that observes it and returns a structured analysis, including symptoms, root cause, impact, and observed recovery actions like ARC Region switch
  • Interactive analysis from findings: start a DevOps Agent on-demand task directly from a failure mode assessment finding in the console, with the finding's context already in place, to ask questions and build a mitigation plan

To get started, open the Resilience Hub console, select a service, and configure DevOps Agent in the service configuration. Then launch it from a finding or a resilience test.

Wrap-up

  • Next-gen Resilience Hub integrates with AWS DevOps Agent
  • Test runs get analysis of symptoms, root cause, impact, and recovery
  • Ask the agent about findings with context and build mitigation plans
  • Configure DevOps Agent in the service configuration

Great for SRE and platform teams who want to get more from resilience testing!
