Amazon Quick can now generate individual sheets and build analyses straight from an image!

Hi, I'm Shiichan! Today I found a nice update that makes building dashboards in Amazon Quick even easier, so let me walk you through it!

What was announced?

According to AWS What's New, Amazon Quick's "Generate Analysis" now supports two new ways to build dashboards.

• Generate Sheet: add a new sheet to an existing analysis just by describing it in natural language
• Generate analysis from an image: attach an image of an existing dashboard and have it recreated as an editable analysis

Both are extensions of the existing Generate Analysis capability.

What changes

With Generate Sheet, you describe the sheet you want, and Amazon Quick adds it to your current analysis with visuals chosen for your data, filter controls, and calculated fields such as year-over-year growth and month-over-month comparisons. You no longer have to build each visual by hand to extend an analysis.

The other new option, generating an analysis from an image, lets you attach an image of a dashboard to your prompt — including dashboards from other BI tools — and Amazon Quick recreates it as an editable analysis, building out whatever is supported in Amazon Quick. That sounds handy if you're trying to migrate an existing dashboard into Amazon Quick.

Both capabilities work with your existing publishing workflows, embedding, CI/CD pipelines, and point-and-click editing.

Getting started is simple: open an analysis and choose Generate Sheet, or attach an image to your prompt and choose Generate analysis.

As for availability, at launch these features are available to Enterprise subscription/Author Pro users. Authors also get promotional access through December 2026 as part of Amazon Quick Enterprise, as long as their organization hasn't restricted it.
