Cloudflare One Client for Linux Gets a Fresh New UI!

Hey everyone, it's Shiichan! Today I found a nice little update for Linux users, so let me give you a quick rundown.

What was announced?

From Cloudflare's Changelog: the Cloudflare One Client (WARP) for Linux, version 2026.4.1350.0, is out. The headliner is a fully redesigned UI for Linux. There's now a right-click context menu so you can reach the most common client actions quickly, and a built-in captive portal login experience (that login screen you get on cafe or airport Wi-Fi).

The story so far

Compared to the macOS and Windows clients, the Linux build used to feel a bit plain, and captive portal logins could take an extra step. This refresh tidies up that day-to-day experience.

What changes

If you keep WARP running on a Linux desktop, you can now reach common connection actions straight from the right-click menu. And when a Wi-Fi login page pops up while you're out, the built-in captive portal experience makes connecting smoother.

Dive Deep

For admins, there's a new CLI command, warp-cli mdm refresh, which reloads your Mobile Device Management configuration file on the spot. On top of that, RHEL 9 is now officially supported for Cloudflare Mesh nodes (you'll need the EPEL repository for dependencies).

There are a couple of known issues, though. The new UI can't configure the split tunnel list yet, so for now you manage it with these commands:

warp-cli tunnel ip
warp-cli tunnel host

UI support for that is planned for a future release. Also, registration can hang on "Checking your organization configuration" due to an IPC error; if that happens, a reboot is recommended.
