A single Overview page for Data Localization Suite settings
Hi everyone, it's Shii-chan! There's a handy dashboard update for anyone who manages where their data lives.
Cloudflare ChangelogWhat was announced?
In the Cloudflare Changelog, Cloudflare announced a Data Localization Suite (DLS) Overview in the dashboard. It's a read-only view of your account's data localization settings.
The story so far
To see where your traffic is processed and where your logs and private keys are stored, you used to check several dashboard pages and APIs.
What changes
Regional Services, Customer Metadata Boundary, and Geo Key Manager now show up in one place, which makes audits and internal checks much quicker.
Dive Deep
You can find it under Application Security > Data Localization Suite, or by searching for "DLS". Each product has its own tab.
- Regional Services: regionalized hostnames (filter by region or zone), IP bindings, and Spectrum applications, each with its region
- Customer Metadata Boundary: whether the boundary is on, the region (US or EU), and whether out-of-region access is allowed
- Geo Key Manager: every custom certificate with a geo policy, with hostname, zone, region, and status
Each item links to the page where you change its setting, and each tab links to the product documentation. The Overview itself is read-only.
Wrap-up
- A new Overview shows DLS settings on one page
- Three products are organized into tabs
- Changes are made on the linked pages
This one is for security and compliance folks working on data residency requirements!
