A New Domains Tab Lands in the Workers Dashboard!

Hey there, it's me, Shii-chan! Today's news is about a dashboard you probably poke at every day getting a little nicer. I love these quiet-but-handy updates.

Cloudflare Changelog developers.cloudflare.com

What was announced?

From Cloudflare's Changelog: the Workers dashboard now has a new Domains tab. It gathers all the domain-related actions for your Worker into a single tab.

The story so far

Up until now, the place to buy a new domain, the place to connect an existing one, and the place to set up routes were all scattered around. It was easy to think "wait, where was that setting again?"

What changes

Open the Domains tab and you can see purchasing, connecting, and routing for your domains all at once. No more bouncing between pages, so you spend less time hunting for settings.

Dive Deep

Here's what the tab lets you do, according to the original post.

  • Purchase a new domain through Cloudflare Registrar and have it automatically connected to your Worker
  • Add an existing domain
  • Manage all of your Worker's routing in one place

On top of that, you can toggle your workers.dev subdomain and Preview URLs on and off, apply Cloudflare Access to require authentication, and check analytics or a domain overview.

Getting there is easy: head to Workers & Pages in the dashboard and you'll find it.

Wrap-up

  • The Workers dashboard has a new Domains tab
  • Purchasing, connecting, and routing your domains now live in one place
  • You can also toggle the workers.dev subdomain and Preview URLs, require auth with Cloudflare Access, and view analytics right here

If you regularly wrangle domains on Workers, this is a quietly handy update that trims a few clicks off your day.
