Account-Wide Dashboards Can Now Handle Up to 1,000 Sites!
Hey everyone, it's me, Shii-chan! Today I found a small but genuinely nice improvement, so let me share it with you.
Cloudflare ChangelogWhat was announced?
Cloudflare's Changelog announced optimizations that improve the reliability of Web Analytics' (RUM) account-wide dashboards, boosting both stability and loading speed.
The story so far
For larger accounts with more than 100 sites, loading the aggregate account-wide view would often fail. The sheer scale of parallel query processing led to timeouts or confusing interface errors. Not being able to get a clear overview when you actually need one is a quiet but real pain point.
What changes
Cloudflare optimized how high-volume, multi-site data gets queried, which cuts down on errors and makes the dashboard feel snappier.
- Accounts with up to 1,000 sites can now load the account-wide aggregate view without running into misleading errors
- Accounts with more than 1,000 sites still can't get a full aggregate view due to processing constraints, but instead of a confusing failure, they now get a clear error message instructing them to filter down to the specific site(s) they want to see
Wrap-up
- Web Analytics' account-wide dashboard got more stable and faster thanks to query optimizations
- Accounts that used to fail above 100 sites can now reliably load the view with up to 1,000 sites
- Accounts beyond that limit now get a clear "please filter" message instead of a confusing error
If you run a lot of sites on Cloudflare and have been frustrated by dashboard errors, this update is for you!
