Cloudflare Now Lets You Create Up to 5 Free Accounts Right from the Dashboard!

What was announced?

According to the Cloudflare Changelog, a new "Create Account" button has been added to the dashboard, letting you create a standalone Free account directly, without leaving the dashboard. You can find it in the account switcher in the top left, or on the Accounts page. This feature is currently available to all users.

There are a few conditions to keep in mind:

• You can create up to 5 Free accounts per user
• Your user account must have at least 7 days of tenure to be eligible
• The new account is created immediately and ready to use

Why it matters

If you manage multiple projects or clients, you've probably wanted to keep things separate with dedicated accounts before. With this button, you can get a new Free account the moment you need one, just by clicking "Create Account" while you're already logged into the dashboard. It's also handy if you want to quickly spin up a testing account.

What changes

• Selecting "Create Account" from the account switcher or the Accounts page gives you a ready-to-use Free account right away
• This only applies to Free accounts. If you want to create an Enterprise Account under an existing contract, you still need to contact Cloudflare Support
• Right now all users can use this button, but Enterprises have asked to restrict this action to Super Administrators only, and Cloudflare plans to deliver that control in a future release
