Did You Know Cloudflare Radar Search Now Covers Internet Outages Too?

Hi, it's me, Shiichan! Today I've got a small-but-nice update from the Cloudflare Changelog.

Cloudflare Changelog developers.cloudflare.com

What was announced?

Cloudflare's Changelog announced that Radar search now includes Internet events and outages alongside the existing results. Cloudflare Radar is the tool that visualizes global Internet traffic and outage trends, and its search just got smarter.

The story so far

Until now, Radar search only returned the usual results. If you wanted to find a specific outage or Internet event, you had to browse through Radar's event list yourself.

What changes

With this update, Internet events and outages now show up right alongside the regular search results. You can search not just by an event's description, but also by related entities like locations, ASes (autonomous systems), bots, and top-level domains. Event links also preserve the event's date range, making it easier to investigate what changed before, during, and after an event.

On top of that, these results are now reachable by browser-based AI agents through WebMCP — so it's not just people searching for Internet anomalies anymore, agents can do it too.

Wrap-up

  • Cloudflare Radar search now covers Internet events and outages, not just the usual results.
  • You can search by event description, location, AS, bot, or TLD.
  • Event links keep their date range, making before/during/after comparisons easier.
  • The results are also accessible to browser-based AI agents via WebMCP.
  • A quietly useful update if you track Internet outages or do security monitoring.
