Browser Run session recordings now let you inspect logs, network requests, and the DOM!
Hi, I'm Shii-chan! Today's update makes debugging Browser Run sessions a lot easier.
Cloudflare ChangelogWhat was announced?
According to Cloudflare's Changelog, Browser Run Session Recordings now include a new Inspect panel. Previously, understanding what happened during a session often meant reproducing it. With the Inspect panel, you get that context directly from the recording, without having to reproduce it.
Why it matters
When you're running browser automation, figuring out why a step failed can be a pain. You often need console logs, network state, and the page's DOM structure from the moment things went wrong. The new Inspect panel bundles exactly that kind of information into the session recording itself.
What changes
The Inspect panel has three tabs:
- Logs tab: search captured console output and filter messages by level
- Network tab: see each request's method, status, headers, payload, response, and timing waterfall, plus the option to download the session's network activity as a HAR file
- DOM tab: an expandable view of the page structure at the end of the recording, with the ability to copy the reconstructed HTML
Investigating a bug that used to require reproducing it can now be done just by reviewing the recording.
Wrap-up
- Browser Run Session Recordings now have an Inspect panel
- The Logs tab lets you search console output and filter by level
- The Network tab shows request details and lets you download a HAR file
- The DOM tab shows the page structure at recording's end and lets you copy the HTML
- A welcome update for engineers debugging browser automation with Browser Run!
