Workers Builds now supports Cursor Origin repositories!
Hi, I'm Shii-chan!
Cloudflare ChangelogToday I found a nice little update in Cloudflare's Changelog about Workers Builds!
What was announced?
According to Cloudflare's Changelog, Workers Builds now supports repositories hosted on Cursor Origin! Once you connect a Cursor Origin repository, you can automatically build and deploy production changes, preview non-production branches, and see build status right inside your pull requests.
The story so far
Workers Builds already let you connect GitHub or GitLab repositories so that pushes automatically trigger a build and deploy of your Worker. Until now, though, repositories hosted on Cursor Origin weren't part of that automated pipeline — teams working there had to wire up their deployments some other way.
What changes
With this update, teams that keep their code on Cursor Origin can now plug straight into Workers Builds automation. Here's what you get:
- Pushes to your production branch automatically build and deploy your Worker
- When you enable non-production branch builds, each branch gets two preview URLs: a version-specific one and a stable one that always follows the latest build
- Cloudflare posts build status and preview links directly to the Cursor Origin pull request, and creates a check run for each triggered build
In other words, you can tell exactly what state a pull request is deployed to just by opening it — the gap between your editor and your deploy pipeline gets a lot smaller!
Dive Deep
Getting started is a simple 3-step process:
- Install the Cloudflare app in Cursor
- Choose the Cursor Origin repositories Cloudflare can access
- Follow the prompts to configure your Worker build
For configuration details, Cloudflare points to the Cursor Origin integration documentation. The original post doesn't go deeper into how the underlying mechanics work, so if you're curious, it's worth checking the setup screen yourself.
Wrap-up
- Workers Builds now supports repositories hosted on Cursor Origin
- Pushes to your production branch trigger automatic build and deploy
- Non-production branches get two kinds of preview URLs: per-branch and latest-build
- Pull requests automatically get build status, preview links, and a check run
If your team manages repositories on Cursor Origin and deploys to Workers, this update is made for you!
