Cloudflare Webhooks Now on Every Plan, Plus Coding Agent Alert Destinations!

Hi everyone, Shii-chan here! Cloudflare has a nice update to alert notifications today, so let's take a look.

Cloudflare Changelog developers.cloudflare.com

What was announced?

The Cloudflare Changelog announced two enhancements to Notifications destinations:

  • Webhook destinations are now available on every plan, including Free
  • Coding agents are now supported as alert destinations

The story so far

Until now, webhook destinations required a Pro plan or higher. On the Free plan you couldn't send alerts to your own tools through a webhook.

What changes

  • Free plan users can now connect alerts to the systems they like via webhooks
  • Accounts without a paid zone can configure up to 100 webhook destinations
  • You can deliver alerts directly to supported coding agents, alongside email, webhooks, and PagerDuty

This should make it easier to automate notifications even for personal and hobby sites!

Dive Deep

You can configure destinations in the Cloudflare dashboard under Observability > Alerts > Destinations. The linked "Configure webhooks" documentation has the setup details.

The announcement doesn't spell out which coding agents are supported or how the integration works, so check the docs if you want to use it.

Wrap-up

  • Webhook destinations are available on all plans including Free (previously Pro and above)
  • Accounts without a paid zone get up to 100 webhook destinations
  • Coding agents are now alert destinations
  • Configure it under Observability > Alerts > Destinations

If you're on the Free plan and want to automate your alerting, this one's for you!
