Fully customize Cloudflare Access login and denial pages with HTML and Liquid
Hi everyone, it's Shii-chan!
Cloudflare ChangelogYou can now make your Zero Trust login pages look like your own!
What was announced?
According to the Cloudflare Changelog, Cloudflare Access now supports HTML and Liquid templates for user-facing pages.
The supported pages are:
- Identity-denied
- Forbidden
- Command-line approval
What changes
Templates let you control the branding and appearance of each page. With Liquid variables, you can give users custom instructions or a clear reason why they were blocked.
When users wonder "why can't I get in?", you can show them an internal contact or next steps.
Dive Deep
The workflow:
- Create templates in the Cloudflare One dashboard
- Validate them in the editor
- Assign them to applications or set them as account defaults
For supported page types, template examples, and setup instructions, see Access custom pages in the docs.
Wrap-up
- Four user-facing Access pages can be customized with HTML and Liquid
- Liquid variables can show instructions and block reasons
- Assign per application or set account-wide defaults
This is for admins rolling out Access who want fewer confused users!
