R2 Metrics Now Break Down Requests by Region and Errors by HTTP Status

What was announced?

The Cloudflare Changelog says the R2 bucket Metrics page gained two views:

• Request Distribution by Region: compare request activity across regions. You can filter by writes, reads, errors, or rate-limited errors (429)
• Errors by Status Code: compare error counts and trends, grouped by HTTP status code

What changes

When errors go up, you can now tell where the requests come from and which status codes are involved, right in the dashboard.

• Check whether errors are concentrated in a particular region
• Pull out just the 429 rate-limited errors
• Read error trends by status code
