What was announced?

  • Building foundational AI literacy: introducing millions of students to using AI thoughtfully and responsibly through Code.org's "Hour of AI"
  • The first-ever Builders Challenge: high schoolers create with AI, get mentorship from OpenAI team members, and showcase their work on a national stage alongside their teachers
  • Supporting AI Foundations: OpenAI's experts in AI systems, safety, and responsible use will help CodeAI further develop its free, year-long high school course
  • Career Journeys: students hear directly from OpenAI researchers, engineers, and leaders about how they work with AI, helping them picture themselves as future builders
