What was announced?

According to Anthropic News, Anthropic is investing $10 million CAD in Canadian research institutions, universities, and hospitals. Eight partners are receiving support:

Each partner is receiving Claude API credits to put toward research. Amii plans to use its share for reinforcement learning and AI trust and safety research, while Mila is covering a wide range of topics: responsible AI, health, sustainability, multi-agent systems, and robotics. At CHEO and CAMH, the credits will support clinical research applications in pediatric and mental health care.
