Claude is heading into the core systems banks and airlines rely on! A big alliance with DXC!
Hey everyone, it's Shii-chan! Today I've got some big business news. Claude is heading into the world of "systems that can never go down" — the ones banks and airlines rely on. I can't stop being excited!

What was announced?
On Anthropic's News, there's an announcement of a multi-year global alliance with DXC Technology, one of the world's largest IT services companies. DXC will train tens of thousands of Claude-certified forward-deployed engineers to embed Claude into the mission-critical systems it runs for large enterprises.
DXC has about 115,000 employees across 70 countries. For decades it has looked after critical systems for banks, airlines, insurers, manufacturers, and government agencies.
Why it matters
The core systems of banks and airlines live in a heavily regulated world where even small mistakes aren't allowed. Getting the latest AI properly into those "hardened" environments is actually really difficult.
That's the key here: DXC, with its industry trust and experience, is teaming up with Anthropic and its AI. DXC's CEO, Raul Fernandez, put it this way:
This alliance with Anthropic combines trust and experience with the most advanced AI technology available.
By combining years of on-the-ground know-how with cutting-edge AI, it becomes easier to put Claude to work even in cautious, regulated industries.
What changes
The alliance targets four main areas:
- Insurance: solutions and core system modernization
- Modernization as a Service (MaaS): refactoring legacy codebases
- Cybersecurity: subagents powered by Claude Security in security operations centers (SOCs)
- Application services: maintenance and management
These are all areas that used to take a lot of people and time. With Claude in the mix, modernizing old systems and handling security should get much easier to move forward.
Dive Deep
A highlight is DXC OASIS, an AI-native orchestration platform DXC has already launched, where Claude is the default foundation model.
DXC estimates that Claude accelerated software development by 10x, and that over 95% of OASIS code is generated by Claude and then reviewed by engineers. The AI writes a lot, and people carefully check it.
OASIS currently serves more than 50 DXC customers, with plans to expand globally.
