AWS Marketplace Demo and Private Offer Requests Now Arrive in Minutes!
Hi, it's me, Shiichan! Today I've got good news for anyone selling on AWS Marketplace.
AWS What's NewWhat was announced?
AWS What's New reports that sellers who have turned on the "request a demo" or "request a private offer" buttons on their AWS Marketplace listings can now act on customer requests within minutes of submission — while the customer is still actively evaluating the product.
The story so far
Previously, every request first went through manual qualification by an AWS representative before it was shared with the seller. That review step could add days of delay before a seller ever saw the request.
What changes
Now, when a customer submits a request with details about their use case, an agentic workflow automatically evaluates that information and creates an "opportunity" in AWS Partner Central right away.
- Each opportunity arrives with the customer's contact details and use case, so sellers can reach out directly
- Even if a customer only provides contact info, the seller still gets it as a lead they can enrich through AWS's lead prospecting workflows
- No changes are required to existing listings or workflows to benefit from this
Sellers who haven't enabled the request-a-demo or request-a-private-offer buttons yet can turn them on by following the steps in the AWS Marketplace Seller Guide.
Wrap-up
- AWS Marketplace sellers can now act on demo and private offer requests within minutes.
- The previous multi-day manual qualification step by AWS staff has been replaced by an automatic, agentic evaluation.
- Even contact-only requests still come through as leads instead of being dropped.
- A nice win for anyone selling through AWS Marketplace or managing partner relationships there.
