AWS Transform Now Available in AWS GovCloud (US-West)!

What was announced?
AWS What's New announced that AWS Transform, the service for planning and executing large-scale migrations, is now available in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region. Organizations operating within AWS GovCloud (US) can now use AWS Transform's migration capabilities too.
The story so far
AWS Transform had mainly been available in commercial Regions, so organizations handling sensitive data or regulated workloads in AWS GovCloud (US) couldn't use it from within that isolated boundary. That left federal agencies, defense contractors, and regulated industries without an easy way to automate large-scale migrations while staying inside the GovCloud boundary.
What changes
With this regional launch, organizations operating in GovCloud (US) can use AWS Transform to automate server migrations. It automates replication and cutover for VMware, bare metal, Hyper-V, and database workloads, cutting down on the manual effort and risk involved in large-scale moves. You can target either AWS GovCloud (US-East) or AWS GovCloud (US-West) as your migration destination.

This regional launch covers migration capabilities specifically. Modernization, custom transformation, and assessment capabilities are not included here and remain available only in supported commercial Regions — worth keeping in mind if you were hoping for the full feature set.
