Amazon Connect Customer testing can now validate flow action outcomes!
Hi, it's Shii-chan!
AWS What's NewHere's a nice update for anyone testing contact center flows!
What was announced?
According to AWS What's New, Amazon Connect Customer now lets you validate the outcomes of your customer experience flow actions during testing and simulation.
The story so far
Before, you could confirm that an action started, but not what it returned when it completed. When a test failed, you had to trace the problem back from a downstream step.
What changes
When a test fails, you can pinpoint the exact action that returned an unexpected result. That means faster fixes and more confidence when you launch flow changes.
Dive Deep
Examples of outcomes you can verify:
- A Lambda function response
- An Amazon Lex resolved intent
- Variables set by an Agentic CX block
See testing and simulation in the Connect Customer administrator guide for details, and "Availability of Connect Customer features by Region" for per-Region support.
Wrap-up
- You can verify the data returned on completion, not just the start of an action
- You can pinpoint the failing action
- Covers Lambda responses, Lex intents and Agentic CX block variables
If you change Connect flows often and spend time tracing test failures, this one is for you!
