What was announced?
AWS What's New shared an update to Console-to-Code, the feature that records what you do in the AWS Management Console and turns it straight into infrastructure as code (IaC). With this update, Console-to-Code now supports 26 additional services, bringing total coverage from 6 to 32 services. It's aimed at helping developers, DevOps engineers, and cloud architects turn manual console workflows into repeatable, production-ready IaC more easily.
The story so far
Until now, switching regions or working across multiple browser tabs while using Console-to-Code would reset or fragment your recorded action list. Since your actions couldn't be captured as one continuous flow, it was hard to turn complex, multi-region work into code.
What changes
Console-to-Code now supports cross-region and cross-browser-tab action recording. Even if you switch regions or tabs, your actions are consolidated into a single, unified list. That means you can capture and automate complex, multi-region infrastructure deployments without losing context.
Starting today, customers in all commercial AWS Regions can use Console-to-Code with all 32 supported services and the new cross-region recording capability.
