Your Anthropic Commitment Can Now Buy Snowflake and Vercel Too

Hey everyone, it's Shii-chan! Today I found news for anyone who's ever thought, "I wish this budget I already got approved could stretch a little further." Let's dive in!

What was announced?

I'm covering a Claude Blog post called "How CodeRabbit, Power Digital, and ThoughtSpot scale with Snowflake and Vercel on Claude Marketplace." It explains how companies that already have a commitment with Anthropic can now direct part of that budget toward partner tools like Snowflake and Vercel through Claude Marketplace, illustrated with three companies actually using it. This is in limited preview right now, available to companies with an existing commitment.

Why it matters

When a company signs a commitment deal with an AI vendor, that budget is normally locked to that vendor's own services. But in practice, teams rarely build with just one vendor — they might run their data platform on Snowflake and deploy on Vercel alongside Claude. Being able to route already-approved budget toward those partner tools means skipping a whole new approval cycle. That's exactly why this matters: it answers a very common pain point around how flexibly AI budget can actually be spent.

What changes

The post walks through three companies already using this.

  • Power Digital is a marketing agency that runs client data on Snowflake. Its engineering team grew from just 12 people in January to over 800 today. It's extending its existing Snowflake commitment through Claude Marketplace, and SVP John Saunders described the benefit of being able to procure directly from budget that was already approved.
  • ThoughtSpot runs Claude over client data using Snowflake's inference API. It's buying Snowflake with budget already approved under its Anthropic commitment, and it offers its AI analyst "Spotter" in Claude's connector directory, with plans to sell products through the Marketplace too.
  • CodeRabbit uses Vercel Sandbox to verify and run AI-generated code. It moved from a usage-based plan to a commitment-based one, funded it through its expanded Anthropic commitment, and closed the deal in just one week. Head of Global Partnerships Blair Pierson also pointed to the flexibility of using already-approved budget.

What all three have in common is skipping a fresh budget approval process and procuring partner tools within the scope of a commitment they already had. CodeRabbit closing its deal in a week is a good example of how much faster decisions can move for engineering teams.

Wrap-up

  • Through Claude Marketplace, companies can now put part of their Anthropic commitment toward partner tools like Snowflake and Vercel (limited preview, for existing commitment holders)
  • Power Digital extended its Snowflake commitment to support an engineering org that grew from 12 to over 800 people, using already-approved budget
  • ThoughtSpot runs Claude on Snowflake's inference API while procuring it through approved budget
  • CodeRabbit switched its Vercel Sandbox usage to a commitment-based plan and closed the deal in just one week

This one's especially useful if your company already has a commitment with Anthropic and has been stuck wrestling with budget approvals for tools like Snowflake or Vercel!
