Cloudflare's Support Portal Gets a One-Page Makeover!

Hey there, it's me, Shiichan!

Cloudflare Changelog developers.cloudflare.com

Today is all about making the "help me" door a lot friendlier. Filing a support request used to mean clicking through several screens and picking categories, which was a bit of a chore. Now it has been redesigned!

What was announced?

On the Cloudflare Changelog, Cloudflare announced a full redesign of its support portal. Instead of a messy multi-screen process, everything now lives on a single, clean page. On top of that, you get tailored action cards based on your account tier (from Free all the way to Enterprise).

The story so far

The old submission form had 4+ screens and over 50 fields, and you had to work your way through overlapping category grids. When you are already stuck, that is a lot to ask.

What changes

The form is trimmed down to a single screen with just five key inputs. You do not have to pick a category yourself, you simply describe your issue conversationally and the backend handles the categorization automatically, so you never freeze up wondering "which category is this?"

Dive Deep

Behind that automatic routing, there is AI-powered triage at work. Using Workers AI and Vectorize, your request is turned into semantic embeddings, then compared against millions of previously resolved cases so case-based reasoning can route it to the right place. Using their own stack to power the support experience itself is a pretty clever touch.

For the details on how to reach out, check the support documentation.

Wrap-up

  • The support form went from 4+ screens and 50+ fields to one screen with five inputs
  • Tailored action cards personalize the experience by account tier
  • Semantic triage with Workers AI and Vectorize handles routing automatically

If you use Cloudflare and always dreaded contacting support, this is the update to know about first!
