Cloudflare DEX now gives your devices a heads-up about internet outages!

What was announced?
Over on the Cloudflare Changelog, Digital Experience Monitoring (DEX) gained a new "internet outage notification" feature.
It shows dashboard notifications when internet outages or traffic anomalies might affect your Cloudflare One Client devices, based on their geographic location or network connection. In other words, it gives you a heads-up like "there might be an outage around here."
The story so far
DEX already let you see device network and app experience, but it wasn't always obvious whether an issue was coming from the outside world. When users reported "I can't connect!", telling apart your own config from a wider outage could eat up time.
What changes
Now the DEX dashboard proactively tells you "there are signs of an outage on this location or network." Admins can quickly see the cause is an external outage rather than something on their side, cutting down on wasted investigation and making it easier to calmly explain things to users.
Dive Deep
The outage data comes from what Cloudflare Radar observes. Cloudflare detects outages and anomalies from the traffic it sees worldwide, and you can review all of it in the Radar Outage Center. So if a notification catches your eye, you can dig into where and what kind of outage is happening in the Outage Center.
