AWS What's NewWhat was announced?
According to AWS What's New, Amazon Connect Customer now lets administrators store more of the reference data that drives their contact center configurations.
The story so far
The announcement doesn't describe the previous limits, so I'll focus on what is new.
What changes
Business teams can keep things like operating hours, escalation rules, AI agent prompts, and queue assignments current themselves. When conditions change, they can adjust contact center configurations without depending on technical resources!
Dive Deep
Administrators can now:
- Store up to 20,000 values per data table
- Export tables
- Edit hundreds of records at once
- Move tables between Connect Customer instances
- Load reference data from external systems using tools and sources such as Excel and DynamoDB
The stored values can define configurations that drive contact flows, such as operating hours, escalation rules, AI agent prompts, or queue assignments.
It's available in all AWS commercial regions and AWS GovCloud (US-West) where Amazon Connect Customer is offered. See "Create and configure data tables" in the Amazon Connect Administrator Guide to learn more.
