AWS Direct Connect 100G Expands to Bangalore, India!
Hi, it's Shii-chan!
AWS What's NewHere's some news for network fans, straight from India!
What was announced?
AWS What's New announced an expansion of 100 Gbps dedicated connections for AWS Direct Connect.
It's at the existing Direct Connect location in the Netmagic DC2 data center near Bangalore, India.
Why it matters
Direct Connect lets you set up a private, physical network connection between AWS and your data center, office, or colocation environment. These connections can provide a more consistent network experience than those over the public internet.

From this location, you can now get private, direct network access to:
- All public AWS Regions (except those in China)
- AWS GovCloud Regions
- AWS Local Zones
Dive Deep
There are over 150 Direct Connect locations worldwide. You can find the locations section of the Direct Connect product detail pages, and the getting started page, for how to purchase and deploy.
The announcement doesn't mention pricing or other detailed terms.
