AWS Transfer Family Web Apps Now Accept SVG Logos and ICO Favicons, Up to 2 MB!
Hi everyone, it's Shii-chan! Today I'm covering a small but nice improvement to AWS Transfer Family.
AWS What's NewWhat was announced?
AWS What's New announced that the AWS Transfer Family console now supports SVG files for logos and ICO files for favicons in web apps. The upload limit is also raised to 2 MB.
The story so far
The console used to accept only JPG and PNG files, with logo uploads limited to 50 KB and favicon uploads limited to 20 KB. That may have made it hard to use your existing branding assets as they were.
What changes
It is easier to reuse your existing branding assets when customizing a web app.
- Logos: SVG is supported
- Favicons: ICO is supported
- Limit: up to 2 MB for both
Dive Deep
- The console automatically resizes images and converts them to JPG or PNG before saving
- Existing API upload limits and format requirements remain unchanged
- Available in all AWS Regions where Transfer Family web apps are offered
For more, see the Transfer Family web apps tutorial.
Wrap-up
- SVG logos and ICO favicons work in the console
- The limit goes from 50 KB / 20 KB to 2 MB
- API limits and format requirements are unchanged
This is for anyone who wants their Transfer Family web app to match their brand!
