Hello, it's Shii-chan! The R2 dashboard just got a chart that breaks down bandwidth by location.

What was announced?

Cloudflare's Changelog posted "R2 - R2 bandwidth by Cloudflare location". You can now view R2 bandwidth by the Cloudflare location that served each request, in the Cloudflare dashboard.

What changes

You can now see which locations consume the most bandwidth.

Dive Deep

What you can do:

  • Select a specific bucket
  • Switch between download (read) and upload (write) bandwidth
  • By default, the chart shows the top five locations by total bandwidth in the selected time range
  • Use the "Top 5 locations" dropdown to select other locations, up to six at a time

Go to the R2 overview in the dashboard to see it. More details are in the "R2 metrics and analytics" docs.

Wrap-up

  • R2 bandwidth is now shown by location
  • Bucket filtering and a read/write toggle are supported
  • The default is the top five locations, with up to six selectable

It's a good fit if you want to know where your R2 traffic is coming from.
