Amazon Quick lets you customize the “no data” message!
Hey there, it's me! Today I found a small but genuinely nice update for BI dashboards, so let me share it. If you build dashboards, this one's for you!

What was announced?
AWS announced on What's New that Amazon Quick now lets you customize the message shown when a visual has no data. Until now, when a chart or table returned nothing, viewers just saw the generic "No data to display" message — now authors can replace it with their own wording.
The story so far
Before this update, whenever a visual returned no data (say, because of an overly narrow filter), readers only saw that plain "No data to display" line. It didn't explain why there was no data or what to do next, which often left readers confused.
What changes
Now you can configure, for the no-data state:
- A custom title
- A subtitle
- A hyperlink (supporting http://, https://, and mailto:)
Title and subtitle can each be toggled on or off independently, so you can show exactly the information you want.
On top of that, these text fields support parameters, so the message can dynamically reflect the reader's current filter selections — for example, telling them exactly which condition returned no results.
