What was announced?

According to AWS What's New, AWS Clean Rooms added a much larger worker type for SQL analyses: 32 vCPUs with 244 GB of memory. The previous maximum was 16 vCPUs with 120 GB of memory, so both the vCPU count and the memory size have roughly doubled.

AWS Clean Rooms is a service that lets companies collaborate on data analysis together without directly sharing or exposing each other's underlying data. This announcement is about expanding the compute resources available for the SQL analyses that run inside it.

Until now, SQL analysis workers in AWS Clean Rooms topped out at 16 vCPUs and 120 GB of memory. That ceiling could become a bottleneck when running complex feature engineering across billions of records, or heavy aggregation queries.
